Good afternoon, I am Dr. Vernon York. I am a chiropractor and the name of my practice is Genesis Chiropractic. I’m located at 6750 W. Olive Ave Suite 117 in Peoria AZ.


I have practice in the valley several years, and I’m excited about what chiropractic can do for you. I would like to talk about chiropractic before I talk about the services offered at Genesis Chiropractic.

Most patients I speak to experiencing chiropractic for the first time think we are back pain specialist. What we do benefits greatly those types of syndromes, but there’s more to it. The philosophy behind chiropractic is “the body is a self healing organism designed by God to be healthy.” Given the opportunity to heal, it will function normally without pain, syndromes, or diseases. As a chiropractor I determine how well the body is functioning by evaluating the positioning of the spine. I work specifically with 3 areas of the body.

1. The Nervous System which controls and coordinates all the body’s functions.

2. The spine which houses and protects the Nervous System.

3. The muscles which are totally submitted to the spine, wherever the spine is, so goes the muscles and vice versa.

Throughout life different stresses alter the alignment and positioning of the spine causing stress to the Nervous System which can result in pain symptoms, dysfunctions, syndromes, and diseases. If these misalignments continue for months, years, decades, soon degenerative changes can occur causing permanent damage to the spine and body functions. In the short time I’ve been in practice I’ve seen patient’s migraine headaches decrease, acid reflux disappear, improved sleeping habits, numbness and tingling in the extremities stop, people lose weight, depression diminish, and a woman once thought she couldn’t have children conceived. I do thorough chiropractic evaluations with my patients including medical history, exams, x-rays, therapies, exercise and chiropractic adjustments.
